On Tuesday 2009-12-01 from 2:00am until 3:00am UTC (Monday 2009-11-30 6-7pm PST), drupal.org will be down for scheduled maintenance. We’ll be deploying the necessary changes to support fully packaged installation profiles, so that when you download an installation profile, you get a complete file archive with Drupal core, the profile, and all of its module and theme dependencies. Once the new packaging system is live, we’ll post another announcement about how it works for both end users and installation profile maintainers.
